LCMS vendors, integration partners, system integrators, content providers, corporate users, non-profit organization users and educational institutions are invited to become members of the LCMS Council. Members help guide the work of the council and are eligible to periodically receive proprietary reports developed by the council.

• The LCMS Council educates customers and users on the positioning of LCMS tools in relation to evolving SCORM and AICC specifications

• The LCMS Council provides guidance and feedback to standards organizations that represent the collective opinions of the LCMS Council members
• The LCMS Council provides assistance to its members in the technical understanding and implementation of AICC and SCORM specifications
• The LCMS Council encourages the implementation of AICC and SCORM specifications by vendors
• The LCMS Council helps companies understand the overall content creation and delivery lifecycle
• The LCMS Council helps LCMS vendors define new functionality for their products based on understanding of the overall content creation and delivery lifecycle
